About the Journey

SEE OUR MAILASAIL BLOG FOR A MORE UP TO DATE POSITION.

Broadly, our plans are to get from the UK to Sydney in about 10 months. Setting off in mid October 2008, we’ll cross the Atlantic alongside the ARC (Atlantic Rally for Cruisers), spend a couple of months in the Caribbean from early December then through the Panama Canal and into the Pacific.

Well, you keep asking for comments! So it’s me again. Looks a great trip. Can you afford it? Where exactly are you asking your mother and father to visit? And finally, I know a few good bars and restaurants in Sydney - I expect they are still there.

Hooray - you’ve made it across the pond! Thank you for your daily position notes- it has been fun watching your progress from the safety of an armchair holding a glass of wine… Enjoy the landfall and remember to keep your public up to date with how things are going..with best wishes for continuing adventures.

Awesome site! :-) That’s great that you made it all the way here. I was just wondering if you had any plans to sail back to the UK? I’m looking for a crewing position heading to Indo or beyond later this year.
